The charm of this enchanting fairy tale city in the Czech Republic is best experienced during winter when snow covers magical Český Krumlov Castle. Lying along the banks of the Vltava River, the historic old town comes alive during summer when cafes and restaurants overflow with the influx of tourists.
The castle makes an imposing backdrop against narrow cobblestone streets and a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture in its old buildings. Choose an art gallery, museum or theatre like the 17th-century
Castle Baroque Theatre, located inside the castle’s beautiful gardens.
Walking around Český Krumlov’s historic streets is a journey back in time, and the best way to soak up its Bohemian atmosphere. Your walk can be easily interrupted at one of the many cafés, restaurants and bars serving local dishes and drinks.

I loved its architectural features and its wealth of museums. The meanders of the river give it a special charm. The central square(on which the hotel is located) is full of charm and a place of interesting activity.

Picturesque place,.it is a.must to.visit it, it is maybe my fifth time I come as it is a unique.place.
There are many places.to.go.for a walk, you only need to.go.and discover them!
There is an area with supermarkets out of.town but yoi.can go there on foot. However, If you don't have time for that walk, you will find some potraviny shops in town which are open till.late.
It is better to.go.in.summer because everytjing is open all day and you can explore.the place.in the day light.
You will feel you are in a fairy tale

I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again.
I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again. If so, I'll stay in a campsite (though the penzion wasn't the problem); much better to visit on a canoe trip. Hideously high prices and and as few locals as in Venice. Gigabites of fake Instagram grins and very little of real interest. The Art Centre was a disappointment with few originals from Egon Schiele but the food: I have never seen so much profiteering with so little by way of quality or service culture. The travel hostel was the exception, though I hesitate to write this down unless it sees fit to gouge prices.
I liked the river and some of the walks. And it irritated me less on a Wednesday when many tourists had left.

In this period of the year the little town is very calmy and silent. Only bad experience that most of the sights and the museum were closed at this time. There not so much to do, I found it very bad from tourist side. Xmas decorations are only now to come, however in the neighborhood in Budovice the main square was full with decoration and Xmas fair. Lot of bars was closed, there was not so much to do there at this time. Thus this the city is wonderful, the castle area geourgeos, but we loved to check the old theatre or the tower.

What a wonderful experience to visit and stay in this...
What a wonderful experience to visit and stay in this charming village. To think just a few months earlier we never even heard of this gem. Such a beautiful place. Visiting in mid-October was perfect after learning that the warmer months get so crowded. We never had an issue with crowds, and oftentimes found ourselves alone, even on the castle grounds. So many great restaurants and shops to patronize and the people so friendly. St. Vitus Church is definitely worth visiting, as well as the synagogue, and of course the castle and grounds. Meander down the small alleys and bridges for beautiful views wherever you look.

Nice place for a couple days off.
Nice place for a couple days off.
Busy with tourists during the day but quiet from the evening.
Prices are cheap but quality is very good.
A nice place to walk around, many small streets, many nice views.
Overall a good place for a stress-free weekend.
The charming couple that have owned Hotel Konvice for nearly a quarter of a century are lovely hosts. The inn is a historic building that has spacious bedrooms, luxury bathrooms, very comfortable beds, all the touches that one would expect in a superior small hotel. A guest receives so much value for a very moderate price. Do enjoy the luxury breakfast that is included with your stay. The location in the old town section of Césky Krumlov with its shops and restaurants is perfect. This friendly, unique hotel was an unforgettable stay.
Location was perfect. Super accessible and was right in the heart of the town. Everywhere around the hotel was the beauty of Cesky Krumlov and it also felt super safe.
The room assigned to us was spacious for 3 people. There was also a dining area where you can eat, microwave and store your food. There were fruits, coffee, tea free to take.
Our host Vaclac was very helpful from the time he picked us up from the train station to when he drove us to the bus station when we left.
All in all a wonderful experience.
Everything.. Sparkling clean beautiful wooden house with share kitchen where you can use kettle, microwave. Private parking. Perfect location since the house is located by the river with the beautiful view of the Old Town. Walking distance to Castle, Monastery and around the old town.
The owner and host are the most we like, adorable sweet and kind couple. We had a very pleasant stay, definitely will be back next time we visit Cesky Krumlov and areas
Vladimir was very helpful and helped us with relevant visa documents prior to the stay. Upon arrival, we had early check in and Vladimir gave us plenty of recommendations on what to do around Cesky Krumlov. The place is actually a historical building with great charm and antique furniture. The room was huge, the hotel is very close to the main square and all the tourist attractions. Breakfast was also nice.
A charming boutique hotel in an ancient building on the town square, unique rooms, with modern updates. A very central location, and street noice can be heard with windows open, but tolerable when shut, and the sidewalk chatter dies down in the evening anyway. A very nice, buffet breakfast with many selections. Our room was smallish, but manageable. It was air conditioned, but our friends room wasn’t.
This beautiful family run accomodation in the centre of Cesky Krumlov was amazing and we had a wonderful time with our family. There was plenty of space for two adults and three teenagers. The kitchen is well equipped and the apartment is really nicely finished. The location is outstanding and we had views to the Castle from our loft bedroom upstairs. The hosts were very helpful and kind too.
We had room number 1, which is comfotable, despite being on the small side. Sitting on the balcony overlooking Moldau and facing the Český Krumlov Castle, sipping to a glass of czech rose wine is an unforgettable experience. The owner served early breakfast for us, since we had to leave early. Highly recommended!
I am extremely discerning when it comes to selecting hotels. The room, including the bathroom, surpassed my expectations in terms of cleanliness. The location was superb, and the staff were friendly and kind. I relished a tranquil and comfortable stay. Without a doubt, I would choose to stay at this hotel again.
This hotel is located right in the middle of the old medieval part of town. It was a really great stay. close to great restaurants, stores, bars, a castle and the river. The room was up some stairs but was very nice! We would highly recommend this hotel and area!
"Hotel U Malého Vitka" is located in the center of Cesky Krumlov, which was really convenient. We also liked the fact that all the rooms were referring to characters from traditional fairy tales from Krumlov. Moreover, the staff was really friendly and helpful.
The apartment was a short 15 minutes walk from town and super close to the bus station, so it is perfect if you’re coming by bus. The staff was also very friendly! And the view of Cesky Krumlov was a highlight! We highly recommend this accommodation.
It is located very close Česky Krumlov Castle and bus station from Prague by 5-10 minutes walk.
The room size was very enough size for us.
You can choose egg dish and you are served a delicious pancake after the breakfast.
We loved everything! The apartment is located in the middle of the historic town. The host is friendly and helpful. The bathroom with the sauna is amazing. We definitely will stay here if we revisit Cesky Krumlov.
Room was clean. nice bed and shower. TV had two English language stations. (BBC and Al Jazeera). Wonderful location in center of Cesky Krumlov. next to the river. good breakfast
Staff is very helpful. Location is great . Near Spicak bus stop and the castle compound . The staff gave us great information about the bus the shuttle and area around Cesky Krumlov.
The location was wonderful and the receptionist was extremely welcoming and helpful.
We would recommend this place for anybody wishing to spend some time in Cesky Krumlov.
One of the best hotel in Český Krumlov. Located in the city centre, near Cathedral.
